The barrel and cap of the Delta MontePetra showcase a beautiful warm swirl of earthy tones, bordered with black, and enhanced by palladium-plated trim. The 14kt gold nib is plated to match the trim, while the black section harmonizes with the finial, blind cap, and bottom edge of the threaded cap. The pen features a spring metal clip with classic lines, and the center ring boasts intricate decorative elements that stand out against the deeper tones of the design. The ink window becomes visible when the cap is removed, allowing a clear view of the remaining ink level and the piston filler in action. Operating the piston ink-filling system involves removing the blind cap at the barrel's back end and turning the piston knob counterclockwise to prepare and clockwise to fill.
